ohk i read my code it came out to be a code 22..2 long and 2 short...if so why doesnt my speedometer work also?

it say VTEC Oil Pressure Switch defective circuit or unplugged / defective oil pressure switch..so that the problem..how can i fix it?and why does it make my speedometer not work?

 

You sure you didnt by mistake unplug something and didnt notice?? Try resetting the ECU by unpluging the back up/radio fuse, wait like 20 seconds, then reinstall it and start the car..

nope..still came up..and still read 22

 

what ecu are you using?
Late model jdm motors do not have the oil pressure switch.
You will need to swap the vtec solenoid to a us model or one with the
switch on it. Your speed sensor problem is either the sensor is unplugged
or you have a wiring problem.

 

Remove the 1P connector from the VTEC solenoid valve. With a multimeter set on ohms measure resistance between the termnal at the connector and ground. Should be between 14-30 ohms.

 

I am using a Mugen type P28 ecu..i have a us spec solenoid,and the switch is on it..the problem which i dont know..it just keep on throwing up 22..what do you guys think it is?and how much am i lookn at to repair it at a acura dealership?and the speedsensor its the one behind the tranny right?plmk..thanks
