Default code 14 wtf????

hey guys whats up? i just got done putting the engine back in my R, and im throwing a cel. code 14 which is the idle contrl valve, the car wouldnt hold idle on its own i had to rig it so it would hold it. ive swapped out the ICV and same thing, still throwing the same code. so now i think i might have plugged in the wrong wire were the ICV might go. i know that theres 2-3 plugs that are the same plug as the ICV would u guys know where they would be i forgot??????

You'd be throwing two codes if you had them mixed up.

If you mixed up TPS and IACV, let's say, you'd be throwing codes for both sensors.

Is the wiring damaged at all? Try one more IACV swap, maybe you just put on another bad one.

if you didnt have the TPS hooked up correctly, you wouldnt be driving the car at all. its the sensor on the side of the throttle body. the top sensor is the MAP sensor.

The IAT and the IACV use the same connector.

IIRC the Knock sensor has a similar plug.

all you need to do is check the wire colors on the plugs to know where they go. either check a helms, the HT archives, or report back to us and we can tell you where each plug needs to go. its not rocket science.
