Default Brake pads ?

I am in need of brake pads for my car i have been waiting for the search engine to return and it has but does it work nope. so my question to you is what pads do you guys run on your R my car will see mostly street duty but i did autox it twice last year and hit the drag strip a good bit. I have been looking on tirerack and looking at the Hawk Performance's HP Plus pads.http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/brake...ar=&perfCode=A
if you guys have any other suggestions let me no.

in for some suggestions as well....currently have project mu race pads in the itr and it squeals like no tomorrow. thinking of going with a pad that squeals and squeaks less. preferably something that is good for the occasional autox/lapping day event as well as daily driving.

OP sorry for the thread jack

Sounds like a stock pad replacement or the Hawks you listed would be fine for what are needing.

I had Hp+ front and rear on my GSR. I got Hp+ front and hps for the rear for the R. They dusted and made my white rims pretty grey =P. No squealing tho.

Hawks are always good. But if you want a little more aggressive pad i would suggest Carbotech http://www.ctbrakes.com/

I just bedded in some Hawk DTC-60's, but probably not the right compound for your app.

I use the Hawk HP+ for both street and track and am very happy with them.

I didn't like the Carbotech's I tried. They squealed like crazy.

Axxis Ultimates were good in my opinion. dust alot but great stopping power. I'm using stock pads now and its a big difference.

honestly, brake pads take maybe 10 minutes to swap out.

buy a set of lifetime warranty ones from autozone, and a set for whatever you're gonna do for fun. they'll last a loooong time.

^ that's what i would suggest. i thought i'd get the axis ultimates for better performance, but they dust like crazy (just like others that do as well as mentioned). seriously... are you going to really need more than normal pads for the street? (those HPs will do just fine...)

There is quite a bit of dust but it's easily removed from the rim unlike some other compounds.

I'm running fronts only (stock rears) and they are silent with the use of some "Loctite Disc Brake Quiet" paste.

Awesome pads BTW.
