Is it just me or is the paint fade on the plastic parts of the car not as consistent with the other parts? My 97's bumper's paint doesn't exactly match the rest of the body either... (in both cases it looks lighter)

I've been doing some thinking about the paint mismatch between the urethane bumper and sheet metal. Urethane's are pretty notorious for off-gassing over time- especially as the car is exposed to heat. The chemical off-gas combined with expansion is sure to wear the paint differently than the metal.

I love the simple, unassuming grill of the 1997- it gives it a bit more of a sleeper feel.

Thanks! I was nervous enough about getting the car and making everything work out. Dealing with the shipping was enough to nearly bring about the nervous breakdown
