Default block comparison.

some of u know that my block is built LS with JE 11.5 pistons, sleeved, 84mm, eagle rods, and the crank is micropolished. i heard on here that my block wont be compared to an ITR block because its not VTEC. well doesnt the itr block have 10.0 pistons? whats the bore on them. my block should beat out the ITR block. dont LS blocks have more displacement, or is it the other way around.

or does that extra oil line that is tapped on the head make my block loose all its power.

and if the ITR block is better... should i consider a trade in the near future??

All b-series have the same sized bore (I think). It is the stroke that gives it the different displacements.

http://integra.vtec.net/geeser/specs.html

89mm stroke for RS, LS

That site also shows the following displacements:

RS, LS - 1834cc
GS-R, Type R - 1797cc

Stock vs stock, LS block has weaker sleeves compared to B18C1/5. I also believe that LS block don't have block girdles.
Since your block is resleeved (84mm), therefore I don't think your block is weaker than a B18C1/5. All you need is a block girdle to strengthen up the block.

BTW, USDM ITR comes with 10.5:1 CR.

i was under the impression that usdm itr comes with 10.6:1 compression...can't forget that .1 extra
as far as your block goes.....i would say as you have about 1973cc of dispalcement. only thing i can think of that your ls block doesn't have are those oil squirters, but i don't think it should be a big concern since you using aftermarket pistons

ITR crank is lighter/stronger/ better balanced...more counterweights. But i'm not absolutely positive..Better to just IM sgt.

Dont bother with a main girdle unless you install dowels and have the mains
align honed.

Also if you are SOOO worried about being compared to a vtec block you should
just install the oil cooler and oil jets and then the ONLY difference will be the
external vtec line.

GSR = 1760cc's
LS = 1860cc's

I am unsure about an ITR block... Would like to know though...
SHEESH, where did those numbers come from?
