8 inch wheels with a +48 offset.
looking a set of 16x8 48+
just seeing if people have issues with rubbing on the outter edges
My R is fairly low

Im going to say its a no go.
+33, 35, 38 are the offsets you might want.
Not too sure though ask Phat R or JUNR, Yellow Blur, Toddo

16x8 w/48 offset is better than 16x8 w/33-35-38 offset
the higher the offset# the further the wheel sits inward the wheel well....
the lower the offset # the further outward the wheel sits in the wheel well....i.e rubbing your wheel well lip/fender

16x7 +42mm is fine. 17x7.5 +48mm is fine also. With 16x8 you'd be better off with a higher positive offset; however there is a fine line. Too low and you'll rub on the fender or fender liner. Too high and you'll rub in the rear on the trailing arm. I'm sure there are plenty of ITR peeps that have run an 8" wide rim. Perhaps they'll chime in.

Speaking from experience, I wouldn't go any higher on offset than +40 for a 7.5" wheel on a dc2.
8" wide, ideally you need about +25 offset. You can get away with a little higher - maybe +35 but that's about it. This is due to clearance issues with the rear trailing arm and control arm.
Do yourself a favor and run some 225 tires on an 8" wide wheel. Just say expletive it and roll those useless fenders!
