which intake do yall think is better? I want something that will sound good but not something that is going to be so loud on interstate that its going to give me a headache for a week.

Ice Box ownz, especially if you don't want the irritating loudness of the AEM

 

i like the loudness of the Aem ....scares away the ricers

And as for the intakes... AEM CAI is fine.

 

Stick with OEM... even though I have AEM

 

i just installed the AEM CAI... makes a audible whistling noise when you step on the gas, but its not that loud... if your stereo is on then you can't really hear it... and past 5K RPM... forget it... sounds awesome. you can really feel the difference.

 

I have an Injen...love it...it makes a low rumble, in VTEC LOOK OUT!

 

I had an AEM CAI shortly after buying my R. Then I switched to the Icebox and love it. No noise like the AEM and much more punch down low, with the same top end pull. Can't go wrong.

 

Actually, yakko, I traded my Icebox for the AEM. I LOVE it.

Using the OEM box for daily drive.
Use AEM CAI for drag days only.

For autocross, go with the icebox

For roadcourses go with the AEM

Beyond that I have no idea. I have had both and I liked both.

seeing as nobody knows what their talking about when it comes to intakes, because most havn't tried anything more than they have.. just do some research on facts and make a call..

But don't think that icebox is not prone to hydrolock, a post about 6 months ago on h-t showed 7-8 pics of a Yellow Itr that hydrolocked..it was very sad, had a properly installed icebox and all, full pics of block were included
