No a/c standard on '97-'98 ITR's. Also 1st gen OBD II ECU which is a little "friendlier".

2001 models have child seat tether anchors at the back of the hatch.

I gotta mention that to compliment the front fascia...

are the front HEADLIGHTS....arghhh..... better than the '97 and down model year......

The airbag is also different if I recall correctly....the '97 ones got the old bag design....

'00 got the factory immobilizer.....yellow and black were offered '00, Canada got the '99Rs....mmm....I think that is it.....

red seats in '01....ick...(IMHO ofcourse)

just thought of something. Since 97-98 have no A/C shouldn't they have more hp. I can remember someone on this board taking off the belt to the A/C on a 00 or 01 ITR and they gained 5-6whp. can someone explain this?

when they rate the HP from the factory, it's at the crank...in which case they are both the same...if no a/c is there it won't "steal" the 5-6 or whatever the wheel hp is....

2000-up made more power 97s made 161whp without a/c, 2000 made 165 with a/c

Could of been the new ecu or that special intake cam
