Default Teins

is it true that if you get teins, you won't really have to bother with camber even if your car is lowered over 1.5 inches?

I can't say thays totally true, but I know of a friend who has the S Techs and shows no sign of camber wear. With my TEIN HA's I show no signs of camber wear on my tires, but I did when I had 195-55-15, now I have 205-50-15. The camber thing is a weird thing, i still don't understand it totally, and why my tires aren't wearing out.

thanks for the response. How much did you lower your car by?

currently just under stock height (1/4" lower) most of the time(I do a lot of highway driving) I find it safer at this height. Any other time I run .5"-1" lower than stock

hey man, my car was a little lower than 1.5 in the front and about 1.5 in the rear. i had no problem in the rear as the camber was about -1.8r and the front was about -2.0f i noticed a little wear on the front two. the teins are still sitting where i took them off my car, all u need is to tighten them up and you should be set. once u set them there is no need to go back in a raise or lower unless u want to slam it. as far as the shock settings i found that for autoX and track about 13f and 12-14 r works well, street i woould say 6-8 f and 4-6 rear.. enjoy did u get the lower control arms yet?

that statement is completely false. you should get a camber kit for any car over 1.5 inches of lowering. the only way i could understand someone saying that is they think that the pillow ball mounts are camber adjustable, which they are not. that is only on the tein's for rwd cars.

Actually, I had 2 inch drop or just over that with Tein RA's. I had it corener weighted and corrected alignment. Had zero abnormal inner tire wear. Camber kits are for kids. As long as you corner weight and align everything really well you'll be fine.
