Default 96 spec to 5 lug conversion?

i currently have a 96 spec 4 lug itr conversion and i was wondering if the calipers and specs were the same as usdm 5 lug suspension? if so would i be able to use 5 lug itr spindles w/ rotors and possibly result with 5 lug suspension? this is just a thought that has been lingering in my mind, i couldnt find much info but if anyone could enlighten me on the process(if possibly). thanks in advance

The 4x114.3 (JDM 96 spec) ITR brakes are the same as the USDM integras. Your calipers are smaller than the 5 lug conversion. In short, 96 spec calipers are not the same a 98+ spec and are not interchangeable.

sort of kind of, but not really. you can use the 23T {which is 98+ jdm and all R usdm} caliper if you mill just under 3mm off the bracket and then use the prelude vtec rotors. it's the easiest way to do the big brake upgrade to the 96 spec suspension.

usdm itr and jdm 5 lug type r's do not have the same caliper bracket, 23t vs 25t. Usdm and ctr are the same.

ahh..i forgot about this. since we're on topic do the jdm 25t brackets work on a usdm rotor? like what is the 25t compatible with? i know the 23t can use an itr, accord v6, legend or lude vtec rotor.

so if i was to purchase oem usdm itr spindles(front & rear) and press them into the hubs and and redrill my rotors(4x114.3) to fit, theoretically it should work? correct me if im wrong

don't the prelude vtec rotors hub center on a 96 jdm itr? if you use the same caliper as the base teg which i thought 96 spec did you can just do the 3mm of milling on a 23t and it all will bolt up. someone has to know for sure on here. i know it's really easy on usdm gsr which i have up front. you just use the prelude vtec rotors and USDM ITR calipers with a hundred thousandths milled off.

The OP asked if he can reuse this current calipers on a 5 lug setup and the answer is no. But he can reuse his current spindles and milled accord wagon (and few other hondas) and get some redrilled rotors to have ITR spec sized front brakes.

almost but not exactly, im currently using 96 spec itr suspension, if i was to press out the spindles and replace them w/ 5 lug spindles and redrill my current rotors to accomodate the spindles, would this work? i understand what every1 is saying but i not sure thats what i meant

even if you could, why would you want to? you aren't getting any of the bigger braking benefit. it would be a lot of work for 5 holes rather than 4. you would then have to redrill tiny rotors everytime they need to be changed. it's like all work with no pay off

also, if he goes this way, which would be my choice. why would the rotors need to be redrilled? prelude vtec rotors are the same bolt pattern.

You got me on this one. The 93-96 Prelude SRV has a bolt pattern of 4x114.3 and it's 11.1 inch in size. To the OP, if you want to run ITR sized front brakes, what you need is a set of prelude VTEC calipers (a set from an ITR or 97-01 accord V6 and a few others will also work), shave the caliper bracket by 3mm and everything will bolt up.

these will also work with the prelude vtec rotors. if i remember right the same 3mm needs to be milled. difficult caliper to find though.
