Default 15x8 wheels

Don't mind me. Just need a place to rant.
Why is it so hard to find a set of 15x8 wheels in a 5x114.3 for the ITR?
Most of the wheels I see are 4x100.

Rota is on backorder with their 15x8 slipstreams.

RPF1's don't come in 15's for the 5x114.3 bolt pattern.

Tell me about it! Gotta find a local distributor that has them in stock. I ordered my 15x8 +40 slipstreams with an 8 week wait time, then they got damaged in shipping. Good thing a friend was selling his old set before my TA event. Us here in Ontario are mostly running Rota's or Volk TE-37 variations.

What size tire are you running front and rear?
Do you get any rub?
With stock wheels and no spacers, I was getting some trailing arm rub with 225 Kook C71's.

Most likely though, I'll be going with a 225/205 tire setup.

225 45 15 all around. roll the fender and you will be fine.

I autoX my car too so rolling the fenders is not an option.
D'oh.

Thanks for the input.

8s are too wide for the rear especially if have 205s on them. If you can locate a pair of 15x7.5 SSR Competitions for the rear, that would be a perfect fit. Otherwise, 15x7s are fine with a 205.

Putting a 205 on an 8" wide wheel is a waste and a lot of extra weight. Also RPF1's in 15" will not clear the brakes. They have a stepped lip inside that hits the caliper. The reason 15x8 is common in 4x100 is mostly due to it being the choice size for Miata's.

I'm also looking at using a 15x8 up front for AX.
After cording a tire pretty quickly at a track day last month, I've decided to
leave DS and go to STX. I've used 225 RS3s on 15x6 Millenias up front with decent results.
Is it possible to fit 15x8 +35 Rotas up front without rolling the fenders?
Car is at stock height now, but I'll be re-installing the Konis at the lowest postion soon.

Yea I went the same route you're going and I'm much happier. I started in DS last year and moved up to STX this year. My current setup is 15x7 Kosei K1s with 205s all around, Koni Ground controls and a couple of other legal mods. I plan on running 15x8 Rotas with 225 Rivals in the front and 15x7 K1s with 205 Rivals in the back for the next season. I might be borrowing my buddy's 15x8 rotas with Rivals for an event in Buffalo on the 22nd, I'm pretty excited to see how they fit. I'm also hoping they release those 15x8 Buddy Club P1's with a 5x114 bolt pattern, they exist but not in the states yet.

I autoX my ITR and used to run SW388's but they weren't wide enough so I bought some Rota Slips in 15X8 +40 from Racinglab.com for $130 a piece. I think they still have them in stock. They fit fine in the front and rear with 225/45/15 Rivals, all I had to do was trim the OEM rear upper control arm a bit to clear the actual rim (about half an inch or so), not sure if an aftermarket piece would clear ( I imagine it would), or use some spacers.

Just as an example ...my setup is as follows:

PIC selects 12K Front-14K rear
Rota Slipstreams 15x8 +40
BFG Rivals 225/45/15
2.8 Camber front (I can get away with less camber if I wanted to)
2.1 camber rear ( same in the rear)
not slammed but dropped with about an inch gap an all for corners.

rolled fenders BUT because of the relatively high offset, I don't think you would need to and if your racing you need to add camber anyways... like I said before I had to trim the factory rear upper control arm a bit (basically took off most of the extra metal).

I run the 15x8's slipstreams in the front and 15x7's in the rear.

I bought 15x8's for the rear but they hit the upper control arm if you don't use a spacer. The spacer will push the wheel outside the fender. I still have the two extra 15x8 slipstreams unopened in my garage.

I've been real happy with my 225 45 15 Hankook RS3's

^It's really easy to shave the upper control arm. Takes 2 minutes with an angle grinder or dremel.

And no it does not sacrifice strength or the integrity of the rear upper control arm, what your shaving is literally just extra thin metal. You'll see when you look at it.

I couldn't find any 15x8 wheels so I used a set of 15x6.5 Rota slipstream with 225/45/15 Toyo 888 tires.
40 mm offset with a 5 mm spacer upi can see the tires sticking out past the body, but the tires did not rub on my stock height ASR 32 mm rear bar ITR at ORP.

Too bad I blew the motor though.

How hard did you look? This is like the 3rd set I have seen in past 2-3 months.

GRRR TE37SLs in 15x8 would be amazing but I don't want to have to modify ANYTHING to get them to fit
