Default 15 x 8 Rota wheels on an ITR?

Was just wondering how well these things fit wrt the fenderlips and Smurf calipers (along with how low you are and suspension/camber hardware)?

It would be nice to put some 245/15's on them.

IN for the answer.

What rubber would you be using? Not the size. The brand.

I think he has my old set of Volks. 15x8 +45, fit fine over the Spoon calipers. But with a 245, you'll need to use spacers.

Ed, you'll need spacers probably 25mm worth with about a 35mm offset based off what I've been researching for my own build. Not to mention you will need to roll your fenders.

Your suspension should be good for limiting travel and rubbing while cruising, but with 245's youll be rolling out those fenders quite a bit.

Do you wanna put them all the way around or just upfront? The biggest your going to fit on there without rubbing is 215 +40-42mm offset...again what from I've read...and talked to Black R, etc about.

ditto. He bought a set of slipstreams in 15x8 from that groupbuy but last I talked to him he didnt like them. not sure what the offset was or the caliper clearance though.

You would need to tub out the front and the rear.

225/45-16 fit on the front with +35 mm offset rim and +25 spacer

245?? that would require even more drastic measures....

Just FYI, 15x8 +35 WILL stick out past the fender a bit, to the point of looking stupid.
<--- Threw his on a 'teg to try at the track...didn't work out so well.

And BPR +35 with a +25 space is like...+10. You sure about that? One way or the other, yeah 225s are a pretty tight fit, I think some kind of fender flares would be required for a 245.

Ed, honestly the biggest I would go for now is 215. You could throw some 225s on there after you get some time with the car if traction is still of major concern, but then your rolling fenders, possibly repainting them, and getting involved with spacers. At least with 215's on a +40mm offset you can drive without changing anything.

I wanted to go 15x8 or even 15x7.5 for AutoX but I could not find any decent rubber available in that size.

In a street tire, no. That's why I sold my 15x8's. 16's or 17's are where it's at for ST classes and the ITR.

^^^ That's what I found out as well. I had to get 16's (I didn't wanna go 17)to find a decent tire for that width of a rim. Now I'm pretty much stuck with Azenis's 215/45/16 forever for my AutoX needs.

No.
They don't have proper sizing yet.
I just can't put a 205/45/16 on an 8" rim or try and stuff their 225/50/16 under there.

Fawk it man do it! The 205/45-16 RE01R is at least as wide as the 215 Azeni. Whats the worst that can happen, you have a blow out and hit a pole or something right.

I have the Jap version of the RE-01R... I am impressed with them. Steering response is WOW, as in immediate. Comparing 205/50 Azenis and RE-01-R, the Bridgestone is wider. Ride quality went to **** but it may be the pressures I was running with the Bridgestone.

I haven't any track experience with the Bridgestone so take it for what it's worth Shawnbonet.
