Default 01-407 has a new home

After taking delivery over a month ago, and having all kinds of trouble getting the car registered/tagged, #407 is officially mine.

I purchased from Frank (luckyhondagod) who is an excellent guy to deal with. The car is 100% stock and had about 7800 miles on it when I got it. I told myself I'd run two tanks of gas through it, and park it in the garage where it belongs. It's soooo perfect, I LOVE IT!

Very nice, and rare these days.

Keep it safe in VA.

Yeah, cool. Don't ban that poor thing to the garage though, drive it! It's just a car, and can be replaced.

That's true, but I love the car dearly, and don't want anything to happen to it!

I paid 19k for it. Expensive, yes, but I didn't want something that was ever modded or tracked. The car is absolutely perfect.

Seems like an awesome price to me, I've seen cars w/ under 10k go for $22-24k. Great find

Well, now you just gotta get another one that has been whored, and track it.

That's the plan, although I'll probably end up with a civic or regular integra to toy with. I've autocrossed for a couple of seasons (see avatar) and I just don't think I'll be able to bring myself to take this car out to the races.

I've recently had to think about what I would do should I total my ITR on the track. I came to the conclusion that the ITR is made to be driven on the track, and I could not own one without driving it on a track.

I recommend that you race it in D Stock.

Can't drive stick? j/k??
Or, more worried about resale value than "enjoying driving" an ITR??

Sad. Sell it. Sell it to someone who is going to enjoy the car and put it where it belongs.... out of the garage, at least on the road, even better on the track and at autocross.

chris - who has seen 'perfect' ITR's that get driven their fare share.

i agree with Chris. it's understandable that your worried about the caR getting stolen...anyone R owner would be starting from day 1. but to say that it belongs in the garage....it definately does NOT belong in the garage...definately on the track if anywhere. as long as you keep your eye on it..it'll be alright

I bought my last R with 2,700 miles on it and it was soo new I felt the same way about it. I sold it with a little over 9,XXX on the clock to a member here. I miss that car more than any of my others and I have had about 13 hondas two of them being R's. Good luck with it.
