do you mean a B16A from an XSI? If thats the case, I had one until about 6 months ago, and as long as youve got the short geared tranny, they haul booty! Youd give a newer gsr a REALLY rough time. Its basically the same as the 2nd gen GSR hp/weight ratio. And they were quick.

XSi motor is just a 160hp B16A. I wouldn't really compare it to a B17A.. Obviously the B17A has more torque. Most people complain about a B16 in a teg in terms of torque. It's usually over-exaggerated, but I know I couldn't put up with it. I'd probably have to turbo it.
