the vortech system for the ls looks nice...but has ne1 ever seen any 1/4 mile numbers on it?? i searched...nothing

 

Vortech supercharger kits suck. The peak hp numbers look good on paper, but on the track they are terrible. SCC got 272hp at the wheels on a Civic Si but could only pull off a 14.4 et. That's ridiculous for a car with anything close to that whp. Go with a turbo kit or something instead of the vortech kit. There have been topics discussing this kit before, do a search and they will tell you how dissapointing the vortech kit is.

In import tuner or honda tuning last month or this month, they had a test of the vortech on a gsr and got a mid 14 second quarter mile time.

 

i read that one. i was kinda confused on how crappy those numbers were.

 

In Import Tuner's defense, they also had a horrendous 60' (like 2.7) and some heavy *** 17's. So it had a lot more potential.

Why I'm defending a ricer's magazine I'm not sure.. maybe I'm just partial to SC's.

 

superchargers suck... PERIOD.

 

Excuse me? No, not period. Superchargers aren't for some cars, on others, their fun as could be. My GSR has roughly 310 hp now, it runs mid 13's all day long on street tires, and guess what it's got a JRSC. Be alittle more respective of other peoples cars.
