Wiring help

Hey, i was looking in my teg today and i noticed there's a cut wire behind the center console, there's a bunch of wires covered with this blue rubber wrapping, going down the drivers side, what is that used for?

That is the motor that controls the flaps in your air ducts. I believe that motor is for defrost.

a friend of mine said i should just get a butt connector to fix it so ima do that.. cuz i dont need defrost here cuz it's NEVER cold.. but im moving up to canada.. soo...
