Wait till it gets warmer, or get a heatgun with alot of patience. If you do it now it'll take 5-2850440923 years, trust me I did it a while ago, sucks. Make you you keep applying heat as you peel it off carefully with a razor blade. Cause if it's 13 years olf like mine, it's going to be super brittle. Then use something like denatured alchohal to take off the sticky stuff on the window, stuff works like a charm.

yeah the tint is on the inside so it does cover you defroster strips. unless some ghetto tint shop tinted the outside of the window.

its on the inside of all windows..
but goo off will work too, razor blade, heat gun, stuff like that... its a really annyoing process that takes practically forever. but itll be worth it if your tint looks like ****.

Put the corner of the razor blade under the tint when it's heated. Then pull slowly with your fingers as you keep heating it.

peel the tint off first by using a razor blade somewhere without defroster lines to get it started. Once you get it going, rip the whole thing off. It will almost definitely be in more than one piece, cut at the defroster line. If the tint is old and turning purple it will probably keep breaking and will flake off and take forever. When all the tint is off spray simple green on the remaining glue with a spray bottle and wait couple minutes till it soaks. then get a white (not green) scrubber and scrub the window. Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes of scrubbing.

that would have to be a really ghetto tint shop.

you have to be careful to not screw up the defroster. you can mess up the whole thing or a couple of lines a minimum from just scratchin into it with your fingernail. i kno because i kinda fucked with mine in my old 2nd gen. lots of patience and a heat gun if your best friend. should come off in a big piece or atleast close enough if you take your time... if you try to rush its not gonna heat right and your gonna be peeling for days. you could just go to different window tint shops as some of them do it for free as part of the new tintin service or they can take it off for cheap with one of those hot steam thing-a-mah-jigz.... gl to the op
