Default will this swap work?

Car is 95 LS auto.
take out auto LS tranny and it's components. Can I install a GSR tranny with all assemblies on an LS engine block? will it work? problems?

Yeah, the only thing is, is putting in the master cylinder, the hydrolic lines, shift linkage and shifter, then the clutch pedal, but the answer is yes, it can be done.

From my understanding ur also going to have to weld on a new tranny mount or something or else it rattles/vibrates. Thats wat i herd anywayz. But the swap is definitely doable... do a search.

okie, now I know that this swap is doable(LS auto to GSR tranny). my othre question is, after the swap is done. How does it compare to a LS auto to a LS manual tranny swap? How much is the gain?

LASTLY, since my 95LS auto tranny is OBDI, If I get a GSR tranny that is OBD2 will be be a problem converting?

The manual transmission is not computer controlled.

Yeah your right, the manual trans is not computer controlled, but his automatic one is which means he is going to have to change his ecu to a ls manual, or GSR ecu. I have a auto teg also and i once thought about swapping but once i found out i had to change a ecu, i just dropped the whole thing.

why did you just drop the whole thing? what's wrong with switching ECU? too expensive? or just hard to find a manual LS or GSR ecu?
If I preferred neither one (LS or GSR) tranny and went with a Type R tranny with LSD with R ECU, how is that compared?
