Default where to get starter

Anyone know a good place to get a starter? I know that oem new prices are high, so would like to get a deal if possible. My only concern about buying used is that it might not work.

If you already have a starter that's not working, get it rebuilt. There should be shops in your area that do starter and alternator rebuilds. Typically, you're looking at ~$30 - $40. With Honda starters (Denso), 99% of the problems come from burnt contacts. For the rebuild, they just replace the contacts (and anything else that needs it), clean it up really good, and send you on your way. The benefit is that it didn't cost you much at all, and it's the OEM part.

Good luck.

the starter is at the shop now(only one in the area), but they are having problems with denso getting the drive for it. It has been at the shop for 3 weeks now and I am getting tired of the car just sitting there and paying a monthly payment plus insurance. I just want the car back on the road and the "rebuild" is taking too long.

$65 for a used jdm one from this guy. He's legit, I bought a rear disk conversion from him and have referred many other people to him.
