I think they have great gains; my friend has one on his ek w/h22; and its alot safer then a CAI (cold air intake for the n00bs ) Never seen any dyno numbers though

Avoid the Civic ones because it will not fit unless you don't have ABS which means it will only fit the RS.

Safer?? In what respect??? I am guessing that you are referring to the possible intake of water. With a CAI like the Comptech Icebox or an AEM CAI with bypass then there is little to no risk at all. Plus you will be drawing cold air instead of engine bay warm air.

Icebox is a different style than the AEM. You dont need to worry about water ingestion with the Icebox...you do have to with the AEM. When you put that bypass on, it really holds back the power too. Youre better off putting on a short ram if youre that paranoid...but id just run a CAI and not drive through 2 ft of water.

Id just run the icebox and get the gains of and over an AEM CAI and get the security of no possibility of water ingestion. Oh wait I do!!! Seriously though, I highly recommend the Icebox setup even though the J's may look sweet.

I know a few people who have the J's one and love it, I ordered mine from JHPUSA.com, when it gets here I will dyno it so everyone will finally know whether or not this things makes power or is just JDM bling.

You still do. It can still suck up water easily but since the filter is up higher than the aem, the risk is much less but you do still need to be carefull.

they have the knock offs for $69.99 shipped. I got mine from there and i got it quick. I just swapped my motor and had a chopped up civic intake on there so for me it was a big gain. and like said above about the aem i had a fake on before on my old motor with the bypass on and i still sucked up water. luckily i just dropped the clutch in so i was at WOT so i just had to let the car sit for a while then push start the car.
