I have a 92 integra gsr and my redline is at 8000rpm.....i am not sure when to shift but the couple of times ive raced i have shifted at 8100 on a stcok B17 Motor? What would be the recommened RPMs to shift??? Help Please...
For starters your redline is 8200 to be exact. The best thing I can tell you would be this: I too have a 92 gs-r.The b17a powerband stops climbing at 7600 rpms.7600 would be the ideal shift point.Anything after that would be a drop in the powerband and a waste of time.
well not really, your tach is not correct unless you get one of those aftermarket tach thus if you shift after 7600 or at 8... you could still well be in the powerband.

mostly true - it depends on where your peak torque is at. if you have to shift at 8k to have the revs fall right at the peak torque, that would be "faster" than shifting at 7600 and having your revs fall below peak torque.
if i remember correctly, peak torque for GSRs are 6,200 rpm
-- however my peak torque is all the way down at 4k right now
