Default when to replace outer tie rod.

Replaced the inner/out rods on my civic... NO wiggle or play what so over. but the passenger side "end" on my integra will wiggle as if you're screwing it in ! is this normal ?. I replaced the outer on the driver side and it does wiggle in a (clockwise sense) a little but not nearly as much as the other. I'm going to replace it anyway I'm just wondering... the boot's not ripped at all and afaik the "end" was replaced last year's November.

I had my passenger side replaced a year ago, but I was still losing alignments after autocrossing, ended up replacing my driver side outer tie rod a few months ago and I havent been losing alignment after autocrosses since. When I say losing alignment, I mean, after an autox, my integra the car would go left instead of straight.

Like yours my boot wasnt torn, but I don't recall getting much wiggle.

Replacing is "cheap" peace of mind !

Steering is even more important than brakes.

You can get just as good aftermarket parts like that for a lot less at an auto parts store. 94

If you think you need to do it, it probably needs it...

my pass side rod is hopelessly jammed, mustve tagged a curb or somethin so ordered new inner/outer raybestos from fleabay $25 total.
got the other side adjusted so it dont pull so hard.
so what's the deal with the pricey special tool?
says here i just need a couple wrenches?

I don't see how you'd do it without the tool unless the front lower control arm was off along with everything else. it's 50$ around here I don't have it as I have never done it myself yet. I paid a garage to do it on the civic cause I had school and needed it ready for the winter asap. I've had bad experiences with part store replacement parts them not fitting or braking in a matter of weeks lol I swear by OEM Honda parts
