Default Inner tie rod boot ripped, necessary to replace?

So I was changing my outer tie rods since my boots were messed from a pickle fork it seems. Upon removing them, I noticed my left side inner tie rod BOOT was ripped in the center, so its basically to pieces.

I did a little research and replacing the inner tie rod seems a bit over my head, and the rod ends feel mechanically fine.

Can I replace just the boot easily? Maybe just repair the ripped one?

Any help appreciated

replace them. they're cheap. i heated mine up in a steam bath before installing them. this made them flexible and easier to slide on.

you will need to get an alignment after this is done.

or you can just get an entirely new rack for like $125, which includes the boots and inner tie rods.

Im probably just going to repair the boot rip to be honest. I dont even see how to change the inner based on just looking at it, seems like a real big hassle to even attempt to change the rod when my boot is just torn

your inner tie rod will wear out much quickly, if it hasnt already.

on the passenger side, your rack end bushing will wear out quickly too. this will cause significant play in the suspension and steering.

up to you, its there for a reason. but its commonly torn over time.
