Wheels stud replacement
how do u go about taking off the studs on the hub and replacing them? i have seen it done before where they took off the rotor (to also replace it) and they banged out the studd that needed to be replaced... and fit a new one in...
i have itr hubs though (i dont think it should make a differance)... even though i left the rotor on... i tried getting the stud out but i couldnt get it past this metal piece in the back... lol... i got so frustrated with it i took off the whole damn thing!!! (the whole arm/hub)

When i did mine i just replaced the whole hub assambly to save time and aggravation. Only a "few" more bucks but i think it saved alot of time.
true... but i heard the itr hubs themsleves were pretty up their in $$$ and the reason i am replacing them is because i am putting longer studs in
EEchhh.. this happed to me recently, to make a long story short.... I broke a left front stud when rotating the wheels. After a number of attempts to pull the hub my self, I took it to the local tire shop.... the beat on it for a while with no luck. I took it to honda (no local Acura dealer (300 miles away
)) and they had to use a hydrolic (sp) puller to pull the hub off the axel. In the mean time it destroyed a wheel bearing ($90) and mushroomed the axel stub. All this for a $2 wheel stud!!!! Any how lucky me, the car is still under warnty (thank god for the extended warenty!!) they replaced the stud, wheel bearing, and axel stub for free!!

thats a different story than. If you putting longer studs in for tacing than you you have no choice. You could alwasy buy new hubs and put studs in before installing them.

in my case, they had to use a hydrolic (sp) pull/press...... and when they do it, ruins a machine pressed bearing..... I tried my uncles puller with no luck.... that SOB is on there real good!!
