Wheel Bearing???
I need a new wheel bearing for my dc2, its been making a buzzing noise for about a week.
Is the the right part I am about to order? (Sounds like a stupid question but someone told me to order the whole assembly, I'm not too sure about that)

Also, they told me at firestone where I probably wont take it anyway that its takes two hours to do the job. That seems a bit high.
They also said to get it done asap, should I do it like this weekend? A few people I know have been riding on their busted bearing for about six months. I'm actually afraid to get in their cars at this point.

Re: Wheel Bearing???
Assuming the knuckle is in good shape, yes that bearing is all you need. I can't remember for sure, but 2 hours is probably about right. You have to remove the knuckle, press out the bearing, press the new bearing in, and reinstall the knuckle. They should be going by the flat rate book time I doubt they're trying to screw you.
To save money, remove the knuckle yourself and take it to a shop. They shouldn't charge much to press the bearings.
