Wheel Balence Problem
Let me first start off by telling everyone how much wheelmax.com sucks... I got rims and tires from them and refused to send me hub-centric rings. They claimed they were unnecessary. If they were unnecessary the wheel bore would fit snuggly around the hub on the car, which almost all aftermarket wheels will not do that because manufactures want to make wheels universal, therefore making the center bores of the rim bigger...
Anyway, I got them and they shook like crazy even after I got the rings for them... I had them rebalenced and sure enough they were off. The thing is I put htem back on and SOMETIMES around 65-75 mph they still shake. I am almost positive the rims are not bend, I have only put out 1K miles on them.
They guy who sold me the hub-centric rings told me that the lug nuts that they gave me with the wheels were not right for the wheel. He said something about the taper of the end of the lug not matching up with the rim. Could this be a problem that could cause the car to shake sometimes???
Anyone have any idea whats going on with this???
