Default What yr motor is this?

ok we bought a jdm b18b from noyan motors. I was looking at the head stamp so that i could find out from what year usdm ls we needed to get. heres the head stamp:

(circles)9/1 1/1 2/5 /8

then the stamp is PR4-3

how do i read that stamp? it reads to me to be a 91 yet i was told my the shop it was a 94-95 and the block is stamped b18b which was the 94-95 if i am correct

If it says b18b1, then the block is 94+.

and for the timing belt, just get a 94+ or 91-93.
As long as it's for the Ls it'll be fine,
Difference is if you have a gsr/typer oil/water pump you need a dif belt.

noyan said the 92-95 were the same so they honestly IMO werent 100% sure...the stamp on the block says B18B.

the stamp that has the 91 is on the head.its not a sticker its the actual stamp 91 11 25 8..aka 1991 nov 25th which would have been placed into a 92 model

It could possibly be the head and block are not of the same.

Unless like the person above said something about jdm or what not.
So I have no idea then if they had the block stamp for b18b that early in japan.

What was the real question anyways, the year, or timing belt you needed?

yea reading g2ic.com im not the only person who has come across an engine like this so who knows...

noyan said hte b18b obd1 were in 92-95 so ya got me

yea my 1st question was figuring out the year of the motor so that i can get correct parts for it..but at the same time, im still cautious of knowing what i need...i get the belt for the year motor it is? that was another quesiton in another thread

Long as the belt is for an LS you should be perfectly fine.
