what suspension setup do you prefer?
im thinking about redoing my suspension this spring after i get my motor in (jan/february) and what not...
right now i just have normal gas shocks non-adjustable...and some generic coilovers
but which give you guys the best ride, tokico/kyb/koni...and i want to get rid of the coils and go with some springs that lower about 2"
just curious what you guys prefer, and what works best for you...

i would recommend some jic coilovers, and if those are out of the budget something like koni yellows and either ground ground or some h&r springs

is there really a difference between the koni yellows, and say the kyb 5 ways, or tokico illuminas?
if so what is it?
i was leaning towards h/r springs also...i just dont so much like coilovers

konia can be rebuilt, kyb's cannot. Not sure about the tokicos. There is a price difference as well. The kyb's are the cheapest of the bunch, about 340 for the whole set

Koni Yellows have adjustable perches (you can lower your car more than what your springs allow), Illuminas don't, and ,though I'm not positive, the KYB's also do not have adjustable perches.
I also hear that the Koni's have an excellent warranty, while it is a little more difficult to get Tokico to replace their struts. Not sure if KYB has any kind of warranty. I don't have any personal experience with the warranty stuff, this is just what I've heard.

my bro had apex n1's ditched them after a week cause the ride was too rough...went back to his old setup of kyb agx's with skunk2's, a setup quite a few ppl have come to say is great
another setup that is would be koni yellows with ground controls...a little pricey for the koni's though...
think about what you want to go with first...i like my tein ha's - it can be a bit rough sometimes but dampers are adjustable, can be revalved and offer decent road performance...

thanks for the input guys, its much appreciated...
how much do koni yellows normally run? i know ive seen the AGX's for about 75-80 a piece....i guess it just depends on the money flow at that point...

Go with KYB. I currently have these on my GS-R and am very happy with them. I have had experience with Koni yellows on my previous car. The KYBs are easier to adjust and cheaper. As far as being able to rebuild the AGXs, it can't be much cheaper to rebuild then replace at $80 a pop.
