I plan on testing the compression in my '98 LS soon. I'm wondering what number i should be around. Thanks

 

my 96 LS tested out at 190-200 across the board. i don't know if that's low, but i was told that was fine.

 

ok I think Nominal is 199 and Minimum is 135. Can anyone confirm this?

 

nominal on all honda motors is 180. as long is there is no more than a + or - 10 psi variance from cylender to cylender you have a healthy motor.

and all compression tests should be done at WOT

thats pretty good..mine tested at 180 +/- 5 degrees. I think around 180 is the typical LS

 

my b18b had around 190

 

my LSVTEC (B18b1 block, PR3 head) tested between 136-140 across all the cylinders, the car was also warmed up and i thought that was kind of low

 

Wo0 wo0O I just tested it and it was good. 200, 195, 200, 200

i dont think those numbers are good.

i dont know if your being sarcastic , but i think a 15.6 is pretty poor for LS/VTEC. Ive heard of guys puttin 15.6 on just a regular b18b.

 

yea well i figured it was my compression, but i am also throwing a code, code 91 which is low fuel pressure so that adds to it
