Default What is this sensor?

I've researched numerous manuals (90-93 Integra, 94-01 Integra, etc) reguarding my engine block but still havent found an indication of what sensor this is. I have a B18A1 block paired with a Pr3 head (LS Vtec). Every thing works fine, however my cheak engine light is on and I can only narrow it down to a few possibilties.

My main question is does anyone know what this sensor is?

I've double cheaked the postion of this sensor and verfied that it is NOT an oil pressure sensor, oil temperature switch, or knock sensor based on it location according to factory manual diagrams.

below i circled the location of this sensor.

NOTE: on newer B18B1 blocks this location does not have a sensor, just a hexed plug.

37760-PM3-003 SWITCH ASSY., THERMO (A-93) $35.25. Only on OBD-0 motors. On OBD-1 B18A as well as the B18B it was moved to the thermostat housing.

Ah, thanks! Yeah when I was assembling the block I removed it and saw that it penatrated the cooling jacket and thought it might be a temp sensor but couldnt find any documentation to validate it.

That is a water temp sensor that triggers the main radiator fan to come on.
