So, I have some carbon fiber laying around (not much though, a couple of yards at best), and I can't figure out what do do with it. What would be a cool thing to make that would be somewhat functional?

I do like that intake tube idea. Making the mold would be tough, though, since it's an AEM CAI.

I was also thinking about a strut brace (esp. since I'm in the process of selling one I already had). I'd probably use steel for the end brackets, and bond them to the tube.

 

I'd feel bad taking your money, dude. I imagine you could get like a yard of carbon weave for like $30 and make a plate yourself.

Okay, that was pretty funny.

But really, guys, I'm not talking about making something to sell anybody. I just want to think of something cool for MY car. I don't have that many mods as it is.

 

you can make a cool guy valvle cover plate, possibly redo your shift ter console so that the plastiic around the shift boot getz replaced!!

 

where can you get the carbon fiber? and how does it work? like is it similar to fiberglass or what?

make a hood scoop or the sifter console, as someone mentioned. i'm sorta in the same boat as you. i have some fiberglass that i duno what to do with, too many ideas, you know.
i was also thinking of making air ducts to guide the air from under my car through my front wheels to cool off the breaks. just a thought.

 

make yourself a bong duder it should work just fine! Mount it to your dashboard and it'll lookl just like a vw bug!!! Woohoo!!! now there's a mod that no one else has!!!

you could make yourself a carbon fiber replacement for the sunroof, but i like the bong idea even more, call me my worst critic!!!
