Lastnight i was driving my friends 2000 eclipse and i noticed a noise from the car.
When i am driving and go to slow down (not downshifting) , just using my breaks ,
I hear some banging type noise coming from the back of my car. It sounds like it
is coming from my breaks or shocks or somethin in the back. I can't figure this
out. Any comments? I just don't want to give it back to him with something wrong.
Sorry if it's lacking detail. The noise only happens when you are using the breaks.
It starts making a bumping noise in the rear. One of my friends said it could be as
small a problem as a piece of dirt.

I had something similar happen to my teg's rear brakes last week... first I thought my pads were shot, but they were fine. Then I figured my ABS was on the fritz, even though my brakes were working fine. A couple days later, no noise
