Default what ecu

alright my car is a 95 gsr teg, ive been told its a p72, are there chips out for this or do i need to get a p28? what else would I need? I eventually like to run boost so should I just go ahead and get an s200? and run that n/a for a while

Haha, i have an hf rex.. and a gsr, and you're right, i haven't driven the rex for weeks..

search for UberChip or UberTeg
boost code for your p72

or aim[moduluso] me about it

Yes, you can chip p72's. You are OBD1, which is the major factor that comes into play when chipping ECU's. I would not say that a chipped ECU is a very good first mod. Almost every program out there is designed for cars that already have at the very least intake, header, and exhaust. With out these you will probably notice minimal gains from a chipped ECU.

If you were to go with an s200 on the other hand... It would be more money, but you would be able to fine tune it to every setup your car may have. Dyno time is expensive, and to take full advantage of an s200, dyno time will be necisary each time you add a mod.

Basically, if you have the money, an s200 is the way to go. I however, would recmend first getting an intake, and exhaust (I would say header but if you want to go turbo, there would be no point) before getting a chip, or an s200.
