Default What to do next

I already have DC headers, Focuz axle-back exhaust, and a custom cold-air intake.
I want to add something else to give a bit more horsepower but I can't decide.
I am willing to spend around $200 or so. Anyone have any suggestions. By the way the car is a 90 teg. thanks

I know I gotta get some tires. How much do you think cams are, and what kind of performance will I see. Plus, will it depend on where I take it to to install it?

the $64,000 question...the infamous "part #4" (i just made that up)

i wonder if everyone here could agree on what this should be (ha ha, i'm cracking myself up).

anyway, we will assume no plans for boost or 209whp na...

for your budget i would like to suggest throttle body or second choice aem pulleys. both will give you small but across the board gains.

i would wait and do both cams at the same time as opposed to intake only. not sure i could recommend any cams that are only $200...

if you dont know, please do not recommend anything! AEM pulleys add ZERO HP!!
you can advance your ignition timing to 18 deg.
cam gears cost $180 for the pair.
FPR ~$90

Hey smarty pant's howabout you STFU before you stick your foot in your mouth. At this level a FPR will do nothing, cam gears are of course useless unless you dyno tune them, which cost's anywere from 60-100$ an hour.

I recommend removing your AC and Power steering completely. While uncomfortable it is a free way to gain about 6 WHP and lose about 48 pounds off the front end of the car.

I dynoed my old LS before/after AEM pullies. It only made 1 whp all the way on top. That 1 whp could have been just a breeze that blew by. Yes, Accord make more HP from AEM pullies for some reason. Maybe its due to the biggger motor. The Accord used on AEM webpage for their dyno had the accesories on!!!! who races with the AC on?????????????
FPR will add HP at this point and also later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My old LS made 3 whp after installing a FPR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cam gears make good numbers even with stock cams and there are settings you can use so you don't have to go to a dyno!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Again. if you do not know, do everyone an favor and shut up!!!!!!!!! please!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to go up against me based on your experiance than lets compare.

Your example is not the average, My AEM pulleys on my B18A in my 1993 Integra which I had prior to swapping for an R motor made Peak gains of 4 HP and 6 FT/lbs of torque. A fuel pressure regulator W/O dyno tuning is useless. Universal cam gear setting's are usually useless, every motor, every driver and every climate is differant.

Look, you may be a pretty smart guy who knows his **** but thing's like pulley's have been proven to make power. Tuning cam gears and fuel pressure regulators can be a real pain in the ***, esspecially if you have no experiance in that area.

Oh and dont tell me about what I know and what I dont know. You dont know me from Adam. Do you know the extensive work and experiance I have in my car, it makes you list look tiny and unimportant, But hey this is the internet and you all know hat I think of that.

OH and one fast GSR

1.- If i don't have more mods right now is because I don't have the money right know and I still have my warranty which I like very much. I had an old LS which had everything including cams, gears, AEM pulleys, FPR, TB, ignition, etc before it was wrecked.
2.- I don't care what you say, AEM pullys are crap and do not make 4 whp!!!!!!!! removing the PS belt is far better than AEM pulleys and that only gives 3 whp.
3.- The Special Olympic poster was not necessary!! It shows me who I am up against. You win!!! I really do not care how you waste your money or anyone. I am only trying to help people out with REAL answers based on true experience ansd not on magazines!
4.- You say you have a lot of experince working with cars? Adjusting cam gears and FPR is one of the easiest things!!!!!!

Peace.

i don't agree that an fpr or cam gears are the right choice for someone with i/h/e. but that's just my opinion, based on my personal experience and knowledge.

what experinece and knowledge are you talking about? Cam gear will give you 8 whp in the midrange and 2-3 at the top!

Only if the cams need to be tuned. Some people dont gain much at all fom cam gears with stock cams. Most do but there are exceptions. Also, an inexperienced tuner can easily lose power with the cam gears as well. What he is saying is that to really get something tuned 100% correct you need to get it on a dyno. Those cost money, and this guy only want to spend ~$200. He is suggesting something that will give a small gain and doesnt nee dto be tuned to reach it's full benefit.
