What do i need? Engine Conversion
Hey i have a 1995 LS obd1 and im doing a vtec engine swap.
What do i need to make everything work?
I have A B18c-R bottom end from a 2000 model type-R and a stock b16a head. They havent been put together yet. Can i use the B18c5 timing belt with the head?. What compression will i be getting and what can i rev to?.
What ecu do i need? what harness conversion will i need to get as the block is from a 2000 model car and its obd2. please help its urgent..

You are probably better off using a p28 and having it chipped/tuned. Use the LS harness and just add the wires for vtec.
Since the type R head and b16 head are the same casting, the compression (unless you mill the head) and timing belt should be the same as the ITR. I would keep the redline the same as a B16 if you're using the stock B16 valve springs.

obd2 isn't a problem if you use an obd1 ecu in your obd1 car. p28 is from a 92-95 civic 1.6 sohc vtec. i'm sure you could chip an obd1 p72 as well (94-95 gsr ecu).
