Water Pump Differences?
I purchased a new waterpump as I am doing a timing belt change. I just pulled the old one out, and was comparing them, and there seems to be some fairly significant, in my opinion, differences.
1. The impeller blades are shorter on the replacement pump
2. The pump housing does not have the guide inserts (round metal fittings that appear to be pressed into the waterpump housing) that the bolts go through. There are two of these on the old pump, zero on the new pump.
The replacement looks like this one minus the two inserts at the bolt holes:
I looked this up at http://catalog.acura-auto-parts-stor...e=AC&year=1994 and this site indicates it is the right part.
I would appreciate any help on this, as it seems with the shorter impeller blades, there would be less coolant flow and pressure through the system.
Thanks!

yeah i noticed a difference too, but i just came with the conclusion that it was just the angle of the picture that gave the illusion that the blades were shorter... but it your lookin at then side by side the thx for informing me that they are different.
