I think you need a tuneup. You should be getting more especially if it's more highway. I drive mostly city and average 300-320mi...Boosting 6.5psi 260whp.

I always tell myself that I am going to do that but when ever i get about 265 - 280 miles my car takes longer to start. Like it cranks longer. Thats why I never really push it past that afraid of being stuck somewhere, but always want to try it out to see if my gas light does work
</TD></TR></TABLE>
My 96 is the same way. I will up at about 320 miles and usually put in about 10 gal. But once it gets that low it does take a while to crank over. Has always been that way. My old DA was the same way. Must be a honda thing.

I have a bad cat as well ( CEL on ) My best tank was 360 miles... Drove from Reno to Davis to Livermore for work then back to Alameda. Also , I bought the car back in January and haven't had the chance to do a tune-up...

A bad O2 sensor wont throw an engine code unless it's a catastrophic failure. But O2 sensors can get lazy. You can test them with a multimeter according to the instructions in the repair manual. You will regain not only mileage but power. Driving around with a lazy O2 sensor could eventually lead to your cat converter getting clogged.
An O2 sensor can go bad instantly if you are running rich, burning oil or coolant. But I've had Bosch sensors that were bad right out of the box. Now I stick to NGK or denso unless it's a wideband.

Wow, I remember when i was excited to be goin 330miles on 10 gallons. But....when you turbo it and run DSM 450's at 46 lbs of fuel pressure....now i get excited when i go 250 on an entire tank. Oh well....sacrifices have to be made.

yep I did. I just filled up yesterday with 350+ miles on the tank, and it was all city driving. But I did put in 11.77 gallons so 29.9 mpg.

Re: (PatrickGSR94)
Because of the gas prices, I have been driving very conservative. I managed to get 375 miles on the tank before refilling. That's with 303K miles on the engine. I average 32 mpg normally with mostly conservative driving, 50/50 hwy city. I didn't have the money to top off the tank on the 375 mile run, wish I did so I could of seen how the mileage was on that tank. You never know, I probably just ran it closer to empty, so the numbers were probaly the same 32 mpg.

This is a common problem on old cars, its referred to as a "lazy o2 sensor" becuase it starts being less accurate. I think i will be replacing mine sometime soon along with the air filter and fuel filter. I am currently getting under 360 miles per tank all highway @70mph. Which seems real low.
