wus up yall i got a da gsr and i wus woundering when the vtec kick in when i drive

by this u mean a db2 92-93 gsr, correct? if so, then i think its 5200 but cant remember off the top of my head. i dont think he has a dc chassis guys. is it still the stock b17 in the car?

Ah, I didn't catch that part. It should be the same engagement point as a B16.

thanks for the help guys, yeah i got a stock DB2 got it from a old lady is pretty koo but just old. i have this lil problem with the car when it hit 31/2 rpm the motor lag a lil i dont know y i think is the timeing belt what yall think

4400 is the vtec crossover, and 5750 is the opening of the IAB's

That's not VTEC, that is the IABs opening. They open around 5800.

okay so if at like 5800 rpms is da IABs when i was runing open header i heared my engine get louder at 4400 so wut would dat be

normally Da isnt vtec so most assummed that it was a B18c1. Db2 is the gsr, the problem is that the most refered term for the Db2 engine is b17a and the 94-up Dc2 is the gsr engine.

but i could have sworn that the b17a had a cross-over at 4800.

ive owned a 92 gsr. The VTEC kicks in at 5600 rpm's. Not 6000, and not 4800.

b17a vtec = 5600 rpm

Yes but all PR3 head motors have VTEC set at 6000rpms. The B17 has a PR3 head. Even the type R has VTEC set at 6000rpms.
