i have just posted a problem about my vtec not working because of the vtec oil pressure sensor "https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/2097277" and i have fixed the problem of the oil pressure sensor. but now im having a problem with my water temp sensor. my gauge in my car is work or so it look like it is. i think this is a reason why my vtec is not working because this is the only cel code that is coming up. what should i do. i dont know how to fix it really. any and all help would be great. is there any other reason why my vtec would not be working and i will check them out to see if it will fix it. the reason why i think this code #6 would be it because for some reason the gauge in my car is still running but the ecu is throwing cel#6. my be i can get a water temp gauge piller/oil temp gauge to fix. and another question i had was is there any way to bypass the water temp sensor on the ecu side because for some reason my gauge in my car is still reading but the ecu says something is wrong. please any help would be great.
o another thing that might want to know is that my engine gets really hot after running it for a bit which leads me to belive there is something wrong with the temp some where. any thing that you think would help would be great. thanks in advance.

sorry for posting to my own post but i was doing some research and do you guys think getting a thermostat, water temp gauge, water pump changed. just wanted to throw that out there. a new water temp sensor would probably work to.
if those havent been changed for awhile than its not a bad idea even if thats not your problem. try the thermostat for sure because that tends to be a common problem for high mileage tegs.
is your speedometer working? vtec will not engage without it.

my speedometer is working fine. i also did a engine swap into my integra if i did not state that before sorry if i did not. i will look into the thermostat. i think that might be the problem also i dont think my radiatior fan is working right would that cause the vtec not to work. see i had to have a switch setup up in the center consel right next to the e-brake.
