Default vtec problem??

ok I have a LSVTEC in a db8. the car is ok, i had a eg6 with gs-r before but i got a family now, well the question is this. my car when you're driving it and you step on the gas all the way all you hear is the sound of the intake, and you actually hear when vtec engages but it doesn't pull hard until 6krpm. I have a stock bottom end ls 95 with a mild built gs-r head 95 also. I have a skunk 2 manifold, injector, fuel rail fuel regulator. and the typical bolt on I'm running it with a p28 program to run like a gs-r and it has a skunk2 program. I also have a vafc. peopel tell me that is because I have the stock exhaust once again because my other on was too loud and I'm pretty sure my daughter hated the sound. but today a friend that only built honda says that I use a way too big line for the oil. he says that the oil pressure doesnt get to where it has to be until like 6k but i dont know what to do. someone please help me out.. thank you

if you are using a gsr head, listen closly and you can hear vtec kick in at about 4800 or so, i thought that it kicked in at 6k also until my friend got a vafc2 and you can see when it hits.

why do you say that, i have come across a lot of honda motors that have blown, that doesnt mean they all will. my friend has had an ls vtec set up stock bottom end and stock gsr head for 2 years now with no problems.

thank you for the support on that because I had my lsvtec for about a year and a half and I have never had no problems with it, in my opinion any honda or any motor in that case will blow if you abuse it everyday. I just use my car for me not to think that i have a race car. lsvtec in my opinion is a great set up if you do it right, but if you abuse it of-course is going to mess up.
