check ur oil, if it's low on oil vtec won't engage, that's usually the cause.

DA6? Dont know alot about JDM chassis codes or what came in them over there, but I do know that the 2nd gen gsr is a DB, and that the DAs in the US dont have vtec. Whats your redline at?

check your oil, if its low that will cause the problem. If the oil level is ok, check to see if your vtec solenoid is working, if not replace that, and if worse comes to worse...see if the vtec is wired to the ecu or if the car even has a vtec ecu =x

The DB chassis is a 94-01 4 door Integra, not a second gen. All the first and second gen's are DA's. The DA6 is the 90-93 2 door. He stated that he did import the car from Japan where some DA's came with B16A's.

not this again, wrong. second gens 2drs in the us were DA9, 4drs were DB1 and gsrs were DB2.

and like everyone else said, check your oil level and make sure your car is warmed up. otherwise vtec will not engage.
