Ok... keeping the LS.... talked with dealer and it was just a misunderstanding. Also, can not find a GSR... I would have to upgrade to an RSX, and I dont want to spend that kinda money yet... (would rather do mods to current)

I have also come to the conclusion that I live in the wrong state.. You people rock, but all live on the other side of the country...
See, I am not very mechanically enclined as far as cars, (I am trying to learn, please dont laugh.. every one starts on the bottom right?) I can not find any one around here that knows anything that wants to share or teach or what ever... thats why I am glad i found this place....
Hope you guys dont mind the questions, because I am sure I will have many...
Thanks again.

I know how you feel. I live on the east coast. Myrtle beach SC to be exact. The most popular car isnt even a car,...its a Z71 with vent shades, chrome rails, flowmasters and any tires that start with the number 33. And if you dont drive that you drive a mustang. I swear its like cookie cutters around here. They all look the same. I have the ONLY G3 acura in the entire school parking lot. There are a few G2's but nothing worth looking at. The cloest acura dealership is 2 hours away in either direction. Imports just arnt catching on and are not popular here. SO i feel your pain.

If you want one of the best combinations of handling, refinement, fuel economy, value, and overall driving enjoyment you can get new or almost new for under $20,000, look no further than an LS
My GSR was $18,900!?!?! The GSR is a really good deal if you ask me, and the performance is great...

8000 rpms...

Dude GS-Rs are nice, and I've never owned a VariableValveTiming(VTEC) model before, so therefor I am inclined to go with the RAW TORQUE AND instable HIGHEND of the LUXURY SPORT! (LS)

LS's are the funnest motors to work with, heres my swappin ideas for your LS buddy, I mean stock for you look at 142 Horses, with a drop in of some Crower Cams you can press easily up to 154 Horses.....thats to the flywheel I mind you...

heres my setup :

1997 Acura Integra LS w:
Crower Internals
Rods/Rings/Cams/Springs/Valves
ARP Pistons
NuFormz Blockguard
In n' Outs
featuring : !!!!!
125 shots of Nitrous....enough to kill the GS-R Supercharged or not! nuff said.....
and the engine can handle it.....

Go with the LS, you can drive it ALLMOTOR, and when someone gets close to you while racing, just press the button! and WAAAALLLLAAAAAAAAA your outta there...

from expereince (i have both i would say for stock thrills get a gsr for n/a thrills definetly get a gsr however for turbo either will do but the ls has ideal gearing for turbo

right now a stock ls (no offense to anyone) is not worth it and soon nor will a gsr with newer cars coming out stock with 240 (new altima) it gonna make older modded tegs have a tough time competeing with stock cars

Hehe Dean you still obsessing about that new Altima?

Don't worry man...by the time you're done with your **** it will be more than a match for a 240-hp family sedan.

Yes, but how cool can you be in a family seddan???
I know a guy that modded up a maxima, and got comments like, "did your mommy let you fix up her car?"

Isn't VariableValveTiming used by Toyota (VVT)? Or it could just be short for VTEC which is a bit long to type out (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control System). Just a thought

...but there is nothing quite as sweet as listening to your engine hit VTEC as you sit back in your leather seats with the moonroof tilted back...

I would never look back at another model after driving my GSR.
I don't know - I'm pretty content with the way my car sounds, even without that fancy leather and sunroof stuff

How cool can _YOU_ be when a "family sedan" just beat the time you posted in your "sports car"??

At an autocross, or a track, cool is measured in seconds (and thousandths of a second). The clock doesn't know how many doors a car has.

edit: dang type
