I just got the car coupel of days ago With check engain light on pull codes got a P0500 VSS Malfuntion AKA Speed sentor Any troubel shooting I chould do to to see if that is the issue

 

speed sensor? does your speedometer work?

 

If you get a vvs code you can't rev past 4k rpm, it happen to me last week one of my wire on the vss connector was loose. Check you wire,VSS Plug, It's only 1 bolt 10m to pull out vss

 

Now I may be looking in the wrong place I haven't had my hands in a acura before But I looking at it loike my accord the VSS is on the tranny right so the mean its two 10 MMM with three wires right I and look at it pull it Just do not know which Wire to check for voltege and my rev is still at 7.5 RPM

Vss is on the tranny, 2 10mm bolt is to unbolt the plug off vss but there is one more 10m bolt right on the side of it, that's bolted to the tranny you need to unbolt that off

 

Wow for got about that bolt But is there a way to see if its bad or if I have somewrong with wires already check nothing is cut speedmetor doesn't work neather I am taking it that is what it is but I just want to make sure before I go out and spend 129 bucks on the part

 

That I can't give you a straight answer, since you got the car with the check engine light already on. It could be wiring, plug, vss itself

 

does your speedometer work? If it does, then I wouldn't be too worried.

 

Dealership got me the VSS thanks for the help only thing I have to find out is were the evap leak is coming from
