Problem refueling
I've recently had a problem getting a full tank at the pump. The nozzles always kick off a gallon or two before the tank is full, and I can't get tthem to pump any more. The pump will flow, but only for a second then kick off again. I know it's not the pump, as I've gone to several different stations and get the same result.
That leads me to believe it's something to do with the filler neck or the vent tube. Has anyone else had this problem? And if so, is there an easy way to fix it?

How do you know if it's a gallon or two before full?
I used to fill my tank the the BRIM every time, did that for over 6 years (visible fuel sitting right there at the filler door). After it clicks off, I would just stand there and barely squeeze the pump handle so it would go in very slowly.
But then I discovered this is bad for the fuel vapor return pipe coming from the charcoal canister in the engine bay. So for the past few months I've just been stopping when it clicks off, and my fuel gauge still pegs itself at the FULL mark. Although it doesn't stay at the full mark for as long as when I used to fill to the brim.

The gas light goes off the guage. The guage in my integra was pretty far off, like a quarter inch gap between the needle and full when it was topped off. I would go 50-100 miles with the tank pegged on empty. I didn't want the hassel of dropping the tank and changing out the float or whatever it could've been so I just lived with it, maybe its just a guage issue and not the float though?

It reads full when it's full, I think it just might read E too soon. That is, have a 8 gallon sweep rather than a 12.
I think I should be able to go a distance while on E, just based on the size of the tank and the average mileage I get, I'm just scared to push it too far.
