Vibration, PLEASE HELP!!
Hey guys, Im new in this awesome site. Just registered yesterday. Will be posting some pictures of my 95 teg with a 98 b20 motor non vtec, 98 front/rear bumpers upgraded. Its a fresh new paint job of red milano.
I took my teg to the shop, had them replaced the half shalf axle and rack pinion BOOT. When I took it for a drive, it ll VIBRATE. It was not like that at all before I took it to the shop, I went back in and complained, They replaced the half shalf AXLE again and it still vibrate. They said they cant do anything. Im like what the heck! Just FIX IT since it was not like that.
Well, I gave it up, I replaced the left outer tie end rods, and two lower front motor mounts, the vibration got less, but it still vibrate when everytime I accelerate ONLY.
My father was telling me its most likely it has to do something with the RACK PINION issue. I can only feel the strong vibration from the STEERING WHEEL when everytime I accerelate. I hate the vibration. Want it to run smooth.
I took my teg to the high performance shop in Gardena, CA E.S. Tehcnial something like that Roadsport, they did the diagnostic, and said they believe its the motor mounts that need to replace. Well...I check the motor mounts, its still FIRM, and from the look, its still looking good. its in good conidtion. IF it was the motor mount, the motor will be lose and easy to move it by hand. I have seen that before from my friend's teg. I know and Im positive its not the motor mounts issue. How can it be the motor mounts all of sudden by the "switch" start vibrating right after the shop replaced the axle and rack pinion BOOT ?
Has anyone ever experienced the same problem Im having with the vibration ?
It feels clearly alot from the steering wheel, on the left side on steering wheel the most.
I check the manual book, it does not say much abt the rack pinion.
I ll appreciate from your responds guys. Help me out. Mechanics gotta be out there. Im short in cash. ONE more question, Will the alignment be the solution ? In order to do the alignment on the front wheel, they adjust the tie end rods from rack pinion ??? if its a yes, then it ll be a big hassels for me to keep adjusting and end up the vibration. Thinking maybe the alignment for the front wheel would be the solution. Maybe the Mechanic that replaced the rack pinion BOOT did not put the tie end rod back in the exact line where it was before.
Hit me up. THanks

The only things that I can think of are.
Bad axle/ CV boot.
Unbalanced Wheel
or a flat spot on tire
A tire shop could tell you if its the last two. Jack it up and drive it in first gear and see if you can see a wobble in each of the tires/axle's.
I don't know if this helps, you probably already checked the things i said

Oh also, sometimes axle's are bad and even though they are brand new, the car will still shake. Usually this will only happen when you put refurbished axles in the car from. Ask the shop what kind of axle they put in. OEM, Afermarket new, or aftermarket refurbished.

SOLVED !!!! guess what guys ? I took my teg to the Wicked SHop in Garden Grove, they found out that the axle on the driver side was for an AUTOMATIC TEG ONLY. so they replaced and put an axle for manual transmission. now the vibration is gone. I hope this message would help others with same issue.
