Default Vibration...

I come out of a store and my tire is flat...so next door I go buy some fix a flat and put it in. The next day i'm driving around and I feel a vibration (not in the wheel at all) .....but did possibly driving on the flat for a 1/2 mile or so f with the balance? Or ruin the tire, somehow screwing with the tread? I don't know whats up... also, sometimes the vibration completely goes away, and other times its there, starts around 35-40 mph.

Tire pressures are all equal around 35 psi. All four are winter tires. Flat was fixed, not flat at all anymore. Ideas?

The fix-a-flat does that sometimes, or most of the time it seems. I have the same problem. 45-60 it shakes on mine, 0-44, and 60-1xx mph it is perfectly fine...you need a new tire, as do I.

Shitty, ok. well I guess thats not that bad. Its just I have used that fix a flat stuff before and I had the tire for prolly a couple more years, so I guess I was just lucky.... I guess I'll just keep it on a few more weeks until winter is over, then toss is i suppose.
Thanx

Yep, I have had good/bad experiences with it. Before you toss it, take it off and move it to the other side of the car, and make sure the vibration moves with it. I'm nearly positive, but wouldnt want you to waste $

this is too obvious. btw fix-a-flat is bullshit. you shouldnt use that. you COULD'VE had the flat repaired, now that you put fix-a-flat its ruined. fix-a-flat is not a cure to a flat tire. its something that some people use for an emergency. i dont reccomend it at all. its also really messy for the tire guys who take your tire out. and yes, fix-a-flat WILL ruin your balance of the tires. keep in mind the weights that are put on your rim to balance are grams. ranging from 0.25 to about 2.00 on a decent rim. any slight weight will throw your rim out of balance. your best option is to now get a new tire and have them rebalance it. dont use fix-a-flat if your planning on getting your flat repaired.

I agree, fit-a-flat is garbage. Also take your wheel off and check the inside of your tire for bubbles.......kind of obvious, but you never know.
