Default Velocity Stack

Been looking on the All motor forums alot and the majority of the people there agree that a 3" intake pipe coupled with a BPI Velocity stack is a reasonable upgrade that is worth the money.

I, however, read the integra forums primarily and value the opinions here.

SO what do you guys think about these?

i had one on minez! for the minimal cost, you do have a minimal gain. i guess it all depends on your mods!

it can get you like 5-7whp gain overall, which if you consider for the cost is good. Those gains tho are with no filter. If you run the stack with the filter, its only like a 2-3whp gain. Running without the filter is definately a bad idea if you keep it like that daily. For the occasional track its ok. It does sound badass too.

It creates a different sound than a standard intake?

may get one for track nights, would it hurt to put it down by the fender, where my cold air intake comes out at, or is it for short ram only?

you can put it down there as a cai but i would never leave it on without a filter driving it around because tons more dirt gets sucked in from the cai spot than the short ram spot.

well if i get one its only gonna be there for like 45 mins, or longer depending on how many times i get to run

To Follow up...

The BPI Velocity stack is awesome, such a simple addition, makes a noticeable hp gain at midrange 3-5k rpm.

Definately worth the $100 kit.

BPi stack is a great budget option. btw, you'll learn more in the "all-motor" forum

i run one on my h22 and picked up 4 mph in my 1/4 mile, im not saying this is gonna happen with everyone but this is just what happened for me. the car also feels slightly better up top due to the lack of resistance of air flow into the motor. definitely would recommend
