Default Type-R struts on an LS????

Hi everyone, I was wondering if Type-R struts would fit an ls. I wanted to get a pair for my ls. I was looking on e-bay and it says that it will fit an ls but I'm not too sure about that. I've had other people tell me that it wouldn't work. I was wondering if someone could let me know the truth.

Other question, do you think the type-r struts are worth it? I just want a smoother ride and I'm guess that they will perform better than the other cheaper ones that are on sale on e-bay.

thanx

joe

P.S. I did a search on this and nothing came up.

You can use the shocks from an ITR up front, if you want to use the ITR units in the rear you'll need the type R LCA.

I don't know if you'll get what you are looking for, smooth isn't exactly a term used to describe racing suspensions.

strut tower bars?
or struts/shocks?

strut tower bars will connect the shock/strut towers together to make the car much more rigid and less likely to bend and flex durign hard cornering.

Umm... if you're getting a strut bar to smoothen the ride on your LS, you're wasting your money. A strut bar will improve steering response by stiffening the chassis but it will not affect ride quality. If anything, it increases vibration.

the strut bars will work on your LS...you might need to get 4 bolts for the front from the dealership, but the holes for them are already there...just capped up, they are above the top of the shock on the strut tower closer to the fender.

...as said, these wont help your ride...just make the chassis stiffer which does end up making the car feel more solid over road irregularities such as bumps and highway joints and stuff like that

Cool thanx, yea sorry i didn't mean to say smoother. What i meant to say was more stiff, a tighter response around turns, bumps, and handling wise. Basically whatever struts do. Thanx

strut BARS! not struts.....struts are what come on the front of the new RSX in place of the shocks that we have on our integras....get it right because you will confuse the **** out of people

technically the dampering device in the double wishbone is a strut. a spring around a "shock" = strut. shocks r what trucks have, which r seperate from the spring support itself.
