Hey, i have a 98 Type-R stereo in my car and i was wondering if anyone else has one or is familiar with the error codes...

we bought it from some guy about 6-8 months ago, he told us that the cd player sometimes didnt play cd's because it gave a code the lens was dirty, but now it doesnt EVER play cd's . the radio works fine but it gives a code "P-EO"

any clues??

 

just need to know, what is a type-r stereo as opposed to a normal one?

 

lights up amber (orange) instead of white

 

and the stock stereo blows. put in a real system.

 

wat would you do to clean a cd player... then youll find ou how to fix it

 

we have already used the lens cleaner for the cd player, it didnt work.

I thought that the stereos were compatable in civics and Integras, you shoulndt have a probelm installing it in another teg, but I think you got ripped and bught a bad stereo. You should take it to the dealership, or find the guy and demandmoney.
