CD Player - Error code "peo"???
I just got a '97 Accord and the Cd player won't play cds. It will take the cd, and you can change the track (but the number blinks), and after a few seconds, the code "peo" appears and the cd is ejected.
Can someone please help by telling me what's wrong/ how to fix it?? Thanks.

your laser is dirty. laser cleaning kits sometimes work, but the best way to clean a laser is with a qtip and some rubbing alcohol. windex will do aswell. be very gentle and you wont hurt the laser. 9/10 times its the laser when you have the symptoms you have.
Some burned CD's won't play in stock decks, but if the lens is dirty, the deck won't read anything.
If you're still having trouble, it's time to replace the deck.

well i would price a laser first. soemtimes you can get lucky and find a generic one for half of what the stock one is. rarely will the laser go bad unless you hit it or the cd hits it. atleast that is my experience with home stereo systems that i repair. same principle.
